With the birthday celebrations in full swing, KLM and Teesside international Airport proudly look forward to a bright future, ready for the exciting challenges and opportunities ahead.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “KLM and Teesside Airport have a long-standing, successful partnership and I’m delighted to wish them a very happy 100th birthday.

“Thanks to KLM, local people and businesses can get worldwide from Teesside, with the award-winning Amsterdam Schiphol airport connecting us to more than 160 global destinations, multiple times a day. We know how important this relationship is and I look forward to working ever closer with KLM to offer passengers the best connectivity we possibly can.”

Benedicte Duval, General Manager for Air France – KLM UK & Ireland

“Today on our 100th birthday, we are so pleased to be sharing our celebrations with our partners at Teesside airport and all of our passengers travelling with us today. Tees Valley is an important market for KLM and we are proud to give the community the opportunity to travel worldwide from their local airport.

“A company only reaches its 100th anniversary through two elements: loyal customers and great staff and what makes KLM so special is the authentic way in which we are able to combine the two. Thank you to Teesside Airport and our passengers here for your continued support over the years, and we look forward to welcoming you on board in the future.”
