Getting here

Whether you’re travelling by car, bus, train or taxi, it’s quick and easy to get to Teesside Airport and jet off to your next adventure.

By Car

Teesside Airport is just a stone’s throw away from major north-south and east-west connections of the A1(M) and A66. No matter where you live in Tees Valley, you’ll never be more than 45 minutes away from our doorstep – it’s just 35 minutes from Hartlepool and Redcar, 20 minutes from Middlesbrough and around 15 from Darlington and Stockton.   

Coming from further afield? Teesside Airport is just over 50 minutes from the centre of Newcastle and 75 minutes from Leeds.  

From the North   

A19 – Take the A19 (signposted The South/Teesside) and leave to join the A66 signposted Darlington. 
Follow signs for the airport.   

A1(M) – Take the A1(M) (signposted The South) and leave at Junction 59. 
At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A167 (signposted Darlington). Follow signs for the airport.   

From the South   

A19 – Follow the A19 (signposted The North) before turning onto the A66 (signposted Darlington). 
Follow signs for airport.   

A1(M) – Leave the A1(M) at Junction 57 then join the A66 (signposted Darlington, Teesside). 
Follow signs for the airport.  

From the East/West 

A66 – Leave the A66 at the junction signposted Long Newton, Urlay Nook and Airport  

A67 – Leave the A67 at the roundabout signposted for the airport.  

The airport’s postcode is DL2 1LU, which will take you to our car park – directly in front of our terminal building and with some of the cheapest parking rates in the North.

By Bus

The Stagecoach Service 6 bus serves the airport running hourly from Stockton-on-Tees High Street North – Ingleby Barwick, Yarm, Eaglescliffe, Teesside Airport, Middleton St George – Darlington Town Hall – Hurworth – Tubwell Row.

The Tees Flex bus service is also available to and from the airport. Tees Flex is an on-demand bus service which you can book via its mobile app.

By Train

The nearest train station is Darlington, just a 12-minute drive from the airport, with a dedicated taxi rank. The station itself is which is served by the East Coast Main Line and has regular connections to Edinburgh, Newcastle, York and London as well as regional links to Saltburn, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Bishop Auckland.
