Only one month until Steel and Iron lands at Teesside Airport

It’s only one month until the Steel and Iron premiere comes to Teesside Airport!

We’re always working towards securing flights to new destinations, but sometimes it’s important to think local and showcase what talent lies in Teesside. On 5 August, Steel and Iron will take to the stage, with a wealth of local talent landing at your local airport for the premiere.

Based on a concept by Middlesbrough-born producer Katie Gibson and written by John Hoggarth, Steel and Iron follows a motley crew of people all from different backgrounds but united by Middlesbrough.

Listen to the region’s industrial history come to life through song, become immersed as the play tells Teesside’s story, and find out “What happens to a place that is defined by its heritage and industry, when those are taken away from it?”.

Enjoy songs written and composed by top-ten charting Middlesbrough singer-songwriter Alistair Griffin, with brother and sister duo Joe and Helen Hammill, AKA Cattle and Cane, and Maximo Park’s Paul Smith also adding their skills.

Another thing that is music to our ears is the fact we’re lucky enough to have had the talented Alistair write a song for Teesside Airport too!

Already being described as “immersive” and “top class”, Steel and Iron is a show not to be missed.

Book tickets to see Steel and Iron at Middlesbrough Town Hall from 13 – 15 August here.
