Guess Who’s Back…And Better Than Ever?

Who doesn’t enjoy a good spring clean – out with the old and in with the new.

Well, we might have overdone it a little at Teesside Airport, using our quieter spring to completely overhaul the terminal building to make things even better for all of our passengers.

So what’s new?

The first thing you’ll see when you come through our doors are the remodelled check-in desks, complete with new baggage processing equipment to get you all booked in even quicker.

That gives you all the more time to take advantage of our new Landside Café, offering hot and cold drinks and a huge range of freshly made, tasty sandwiches. Plus cakes and sweet treats from local company That Cake.

Of course, you might want to head straight through our retooled security area – again with new scanners making for shorter queues and a smoother process – and relax in one of the new bars or lounges.

The Goosepool, named by you, the public, is our stylish new bar that sits alongside the refurbished Transporter Bar & Kitchen. Whether it’s a glass of pop, a pint or a parmo, you’ll find something for everyone while relaxing in comfort. If you’d prefer something quieter, you can also book our Middleton and Rockliffe Hall lounges to enjoy free Wi-Fi, charging stations, TVs and comfy seating all to yourself.

But if it’s retail therapy you’re after, as the name suggests our News } Essentials shop has everything you need before jetting off, or you can pick up some fashionable gifts and items from local producers at our House of Zana and Rejoy boutique. The World Duty Free store is just weeks away from launching, and will include all of your usual duty-free favourites.

Our new-look terminal building welcomed its first guests on 1 June, coinciding with the start of Ryanair’s summer holiday breaks. Majorca, Alicante and Faro flights are hitting the skies now, with Corfu to come later. All alongside flights to top staycation destinations such as Newquay and Jersey with Loganair and Eastern Airways.

We’ve had some great feedback from people using our airport, both on social media and in person. But don’t take our word for it, here’s a word from some of our passengers.

We want to say a big “Thank you” to everyone who has been using the airport over the past couple of years. It’s only down to your support that we can keep growing and bringing you more great destinations.

After a very difficult year for the entire travel industry, it’s great to be back – and better than ever.
