Please check the documentation from your airline, which will advise you when check-in opens. Depending on the airline, the airport’s check-in desks will open between two and three hours before flight departure and close approximately 30-40 minutes before departure. Please ensure you leave plenty of time to check in as latecomers may not be admitted.
We recommend you arrive at the airport no later than 2 hours before your flight, however please ensure you’re familiar with your airlines check-in opening times as stated on your documentation.
Teesside Airport’s dedicated check-in areas are conveniently located immediately inside the terminal building, just one minute’s walk from the car park. These desks will help whisk you to your destination in no time. To find the right desk, the information screens above the desks clearly indicate the airline and flight it will serve. To save time, please have your tickets or booking confirmation and your passport ready to present at check-in.
As each airline has its own approach to online check-in, so it’s best to check with them in advance to find out what you need to do.
Passengers who have checked in online but who have hold luggage will then need to drop their bags off at the check-in desks. Passengers who have checked in online and only have hand luggage can proceed directly to security.
Remember, whether you check-in online or at the airport, you still need to get to the airport in sufficient time to pass through security and reach departures for your boarding time.
