Competition Terms and Conditions
Naming the new Teesside International Airport bar

These terms relate to the ‘Name our New Bar Competition (the ‘competition’) which is run and promoted by Teesside International Airport Limited (a company registered in England with company number 02020423), whose Registered office is Cavendish House, Teesdale Business Park, Stockton-on-Tees, Tees Valley, England, TS17 6QY (the ’Airport’, ‘we’ or ‘our’).

1. By entering the competition, you accept these terms and conditions.

2. These terms are in addition to any conditions detailed in the marketing material about the prize draw (the “marketing material”).

3. PURPOSE: The purpose of this competition is to find a name for our new bar, to be located in our terminal building, airside.


a. Entry to the competition will be via an online form only, which can be accessed at www.teessideinternational.com/yourbar. There is no other way to submit an entry.

b. Entries must be submitted by 19.00H (7pm) on Sunday 21st February 2021. Late entries will not be considered.

c. There is no cost to enter this competition.



a. The competition is only open to people aged 18 or over.

b. You cannot enter the competition if you are an employee or officer of Teesside International Airport, Tees Valley Combined Authority, South Tees Development Corporation, or any subsidiary company of these companies (our ‘Group’) or any person living with, or directly related to, one of our Group’s employees.

c. Only one entry is permitted per household.

d. You may be required to provide proof of your eligibility before any prize may be claimed.

e. Neither we nor any Group company accept any responsibility or liability for entries which do not reach us before the closing date or are illegible, incomplete or corrupted. Entrants must have a valid email address to claim this prize.


a. The following is an indicative timetable for the competition and may be subject to change:

• Competition launch date: Saturday 6th February 2021
• Competition closure: Sunday 19.00H (7pm) 21st February 2021

b. The valid entries will be judged by a panel of representatives of the airport (the ‘panel’) as the most suitable, original and interesting name for the new bar.

c. Neither we nor the panel shall be obliged to name any entry the winner.

d. If multiple entrants submit the same name chosen by the panel, one of those entrants will be drawn at random to select the winner.

e. The panel’s decision will be final, and the panel will not give reasons for its decision and shall not be required to do so.

f. Our aim is to contact the winner by email by Monday 8th March 2021, notifying them of the full details of the prize. Other entrants may not be notified and if you have not heard from us within two months of the closing date you have not won.



By entering the competition each entrant:

a. consents to us using the name proposed in their entry (the ‘Name’) as the new bar name at the airport.

b. assigns any and all legal rights in the Name to the airport, its successors or assigns and agrees that as a condition of accepting the prize will freely enter into a confirmatory agreement confirming the assignment and transfer of and all legal and moral rights in the name to the airport its successors or assigns.



a. The prize winner will receive two flight tickets with Loganair to travel from the airport to a destination of the winner’s choice from Loganair’s network of routes. A list of destinations operated by Loganair can be found at www.teessideinternational.com

b. Flights must be taken by the competition winner along with any accompanying passenger(s) notified to us in the relevant booking. Flights must be taken at the same time.

c. Travel will only be permitted in line with the latest government guidelines.

d. The prize is provided by us in conjunction with Loganair.

e. One item of checked baggage is included per person. No optional flight/ board/ accommodation/ transfer supplements are included in the prize and these must be paid for by the winner at the time of booking for all the travelling party. Travel insurance is not included. Winners are advised to take out their own insurance

f. The prize flights must be booked and travel completed by the dates as specified within 12 months after we notify the winner. If the prize is not claimed by the redemption date, if will be deemed forfeited.

g. Prize flights are limited on the flights operated by Loganair from the airport and may be unavailable even if there is general availability of seats on a particular flight. Flights may not be taken at peak periods such as Christmas, New Year and Bank/School Holidays.

h. Flights may be changed or cancelled by the airline for administrative reasons without prior notice. Please note that the Loganair flight schedules are not guaranteed.

i. All passengers must have a valid passport to travel and must meet all relevant visa and/or other entry requirements.

j. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.



a. The personal information supplied by entrants when entering this competition will be used by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy at www.teessideinternational.com/privacy-policy

b. By entering the competition and providing your contact information and personal information you have agreed that we may use this information to contact you about the outcome of the competition. We may also contact you in relation to publicity about the competition and our new bar and other facilities. You may have also consented to us contacting you with marketing and other information.

c. All entrants may have their details removed from our database by contacting us or via the unsubscribe messages in emails sent by us or by contacting us by email at enquiries@teessideinternational.com. If details are removed prior to the conclusion of the competition and/or award of prize(s), entrants will forfeit their right to claim the prize.

d. As a condition of entering the competition entrants, particularly the prize winner, may be required to participate in photo, recording, video and/or filming session(s). By entering this competition, you agree that we shall have the right to use all the resulting publicity materials in any media and in any manner we see fit. You may be asked to sign additional confirmations and waiver forms to confirm this.

e. No fees shall be payable to any entrant in relation to the use of publicity materials.

10. We may, in our absolute discretion, change these terms and conditions or extend the competition without notice. We may cancel the competition without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond our control that makes it necessary to do so.

11. Entries that don’t comply with these terms will not be accepted. Entrants may be disqualified if we think (in our absolute discretion) that an entrant has breached these terms and conditions. Our decision on these matters is final.

12. If there is a dispute about the meaning of these terms and conditions or the operation of the competition our decision is final.

14. These terms are subject to English Law and by entering this prize draw you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
