MFC are delighted to welcome Teesside International Airport once again as our official airport partner.

The new agreement further underlines a strong relationship that has developed over many years of support from the airport, and Teesside International Airport will again be displayed on the back of the first team playing shirts.

The airport will also continue to appear around the Riverside Stadium and will be on the club’s media backdrop.

MFC Head of Commercial Lee Fryett said: “We’re delighted to continue our relationship with Teesside International Airport. The airport has changed beyond recognition over the past couple of years after receiving some fantastic investment and it is a real beacon for the Tees Valley region.

“With ever increasing flights and an expansion project that has transformed it’s look, we have an airport that not only can we be proud of, but one that will support both the continued economic growth of the air and offer leisure and travel opportunities for all.”

The new-look airport has been overhauled and upgraded with new check-in desks, and a reconfigured security area with state-of-the-art body and baggage scanners to make passing through smoother and more hassle-free than ever.

Passengers can now relax in new luxury lounges, or in new food and drink outlets, including the Landside Café, The Transporter Bar and Kitchen and The Goosepool bar. They can also spend time picking up something from local producers at boutique store House of Zana and Rejoy ahead of a new duty-free store, run by World Duty Free, opening soon.

The transformation has also supported local businesses with 92% of all terminal improvements, from design and electrical work to construction and renovations, being carried out by local firms.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “It’s great to back the Boro again for another season, continuing our partnership with the club that has already helped us get our message into the homes of people across the country, spreading our message far and wide.

“There’s so much happening at Teesside Airport, just last week, we saw the launch of our new-look terminal. The first of Ryanair’s summer holiday flights also took off, ahead of more departing in the coming weeks, with the support of people from across Teesside to make these a success. We know Boro supporters are passionate fans and don’t want to drive up to Newcastle or down to Leeds to go on holiday and by backing our airport too, now there’s no need to.”
